Oregon Scientific JM889NA-S Jumbo Atomic Wall Clock with Indoor Temperature, Silver

Review
Banish tardiness in the household with this accurate wall clock from technologically savvy Oregon Scientific. The radio-controlled clock regularly resets to the US WWVB atomic clock in Boulder, CO, and adapts automatically for daylight savings time. The clock also monitors indoor temperatures for enhanced climate comfort. The LCD clock displays time in jumbo-sized digits by the hour and minute in 12-hour format. A calendar function presents the month and day of the week in English, French, or Spanish. The user selects from four US time zones to match the clock’s location for atomic time coordination. A radio tower icon flashes onscreen when receiving time updates from the WWVB at a 60kHz frequency. A crescendo alarm alerts users, increasing in volume over 2 minutes. A snooze function arrests the alarm for 8 minutes. An AM/FM radio option also can be employed. For indoor climate information, the clock measures indoor temperatures ranging from 23 to 122 degrees F. This item hangs on the wall or can stand-alone. Two included AA batteries power the clock. A low-battery icon flashing when fresh batteries are required. Oregon Scientific offers a limited one-year warranty. The clock measures 8.7 by 9.2 by 9 inches and weighs 1.5 pounds upon shipping. –Jessica Reuling

Good LCD Clock, poor atomic clock
I bought this clock at a discount, as it is closeout. Oregon has a newer model out, but it uses 4 AA instead of this model’s 2.

Finally, an Atomic Clock that Works out of the box
I’ve had this one for over a week and it’s solid. I like the square shape, looks good in the bathroom, and sets itself wonderfully.

    Very Good
Easy to use and works as decribed. I gave this as a gift for my 95 year old grandmother so she could see the display and would not have to set it her self. It worked.

    On Time
Very Happy with this product! Easy to read, always accurate, and still there after a power hit! It took a day to sync with the atomic clock signal, but after that it has kept…

    A short review
Most of it has already been said. I’ll just throw in my own observations.
    1. Keeps accurate time even without the radio connection.

Best Atomic clock I’ve had so far
This clock is the third one I’ve owned. The others either stopped connecting to update the time or simply stopped working all together.

    Why?
I love this clock, it keeps great time as well as the date and temperature. Its display is large enough to see from any place in a very large room.
